How do Americans expect to defend themselves if...?

I as an unarmed America have never lived in fear. Let's face the facts 99% of all guns used in crimes are purchased legally. If we cut off the supply of guns the price on the black market will be so high that criminals can not afford them. If no one has guns there is no place to steal them. The fact is that the country as a whole will be much better off when all of the guns are gone.
