If you shine a light at a distant plane whose edge is diagonal to your perspective . . .?

In other words, the plane's right edge is closer to you than the left edge. Wouldn't your perception of the light hitting the diagonal edge be that the speed of light is exceeded as it travels from the near edge to the far edge of the diagonal, based on the Pythagorean theorem that the hypotenuse is longer?
