Big toe pain, need help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?

At bball practice I got a blister on the tip of the toe next to big toe. This blister went from tip of toe to up under my nail. I didn't want to pop it so I waited two days, the blister turned red so I popped it. I Clipped the nail back as far as could (the nail wasn't attached to skin), now its throbbing very bad. I soaked it in peroxide. I'm going to doctor but what do I need to do before then?
