When child support is ordered by the court is a check mailed out to you?

When child support is ordered by your county courthouse is the noncustodial parent suppose to willingly mail you out a check or does will the child support agency automatically deduct the money out of the noncustodial parents check & mail it to the custodial parent? How does this thing work? I need all the info you have. Thx!
