Zippo trouble? Casing is loose?

Alright so i just got my first zippo (i dont smoke) and I am obviously new to this and I was noticing that the lighter mechanism portion (the part with the striker, wick, and containing the fuel) slips free from the outer metal casing to refill. But it is now slightly loos and sometimes wobbles around when I open it. Is this normal or am I doing something wrong? Thanks
