How do you get an ink stain out of marble/granite?

HELP!! I am house/dog sitting for my BOSS one morning we were in a hurry and I left my purple hair straightener on and when I came back it had dyed the beautiful counter!! I am not sure if it is marble or granite but do you know how to remove a stain??? It did not melt or burn the counter, just dyed it!! (thank goodness!!!) PLEASE HELP!!! Thanks!!
