Hair Question, Help!!!?

Okaaaaay, So today I dyed my hair like burgundyish and it didnt really come out the color i wanted it to because my hair is darker, How damaging would it be if tomorrow I bought hair dye stripper then dyed by hair back to burgundy I'm using revlon colorsilk because it works the best for me. I'd be stripping and dying my hair in one day, if you have anyother tips that's be greattttt, thanks (:
